Race weekends

Forty-five minutes from the banking.

Daytona International Speedway is 35 miles south on I-95. Speedweeks, Bike Week and the summer 400 fill every room in Volusia County — this is the quiet side of the drive.

Making the drive

Getting there and back.

From the villas, turn south on A1A and pick up I-95 southbound at the Palm Coast Parkway or SR-100 interchange. It is a straight 35-mile run to Exit 261, International Speedway Boulevard — about forty-five minutes on a normal day.

On race day it is not a normal day. Leave two to three hours before the green flag for a Cup race, and expect a slow crawl out afterwards. Many of our guests take A1A home down the coast through Ormond Beach instead of sitting on the interstate — longer on paper, often quicker in practice, and a far better drive.

Why stay up here

  • Rates in Daytona multiply during Speedweeks and Bike Week; ours move far less.
  • Free parking at your room door — no resort garage, no shuttle.
  • A fridge and microwave, which matter when everything near the track has a two-hour wait.
  • A beach and a state park that are not hosting the event.

Race weekends book out early here too. Call the front desk on (386) 445-3525 as soon as the schedule lands.

Race weekend questions

What people ask us.

How far is Palm Coast Villas from Daytona International Speedway?
About 35 miles, or roughly 45 minutes south on I-95. Leave earlier on race day — traffic on International Speedway Boulevard backs up well before the green flag.
When is the 2027 Daytona 500?
Sunday 21 February 2027 — the 69th running. Speedweeks builds to it from the Clash on Saturday 13 February, with qualifying on the 17th and the Duels on the 18th.
When is Daytona Bike Week 2027?
Friday 5 March through Sunday 14 March 2027. Biketoberfest runs 15–18 October 2026.
Should I stay in Palm Coast for a Daytona race weekend?
Many people do. Rooms in Daytona rise sharply during Speedweeks and Bike Week and sell out months ahead. Forty-five minutes north you get a quiet room with a fridge and microwave, free parking at the door and a beach that is not hosting a rally.
Do you take bookings for race weekends?
Yes, and they go early. Call the front desk on (386) 445-3525 as soon as the schedule is published — race-weekend rates and minimum-stay requirements differ from our standard rates.
